Save Ink with ‘EcoFont’
I think this is a great idea. Some guys in Holland developed EcoFont - it basically uses less ink in everyday printing. How? Well, very simply by removing small holes in the black part of the font. At high magnification it does not look great but for general everyday printing it is perfectly usable. According to them it uses up to 20% less ink. Depending on how much you print (and the high cost of ink and laser toner these days) it could mean a real saving.
I don’ think I would use this for out of office paper communication myself though anything internal or my own personal printing needs it should be perfectly serviceable. I plan to install it as the default font for all my printing and see how it goes.
Below is a (magnified) picture and the EcoFont website is HERE.
